Reports: Saints Trade Jimmy Graham To Seahawks
As first reported by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints have reached a trade agreement that will send all-pro tight end Jimmy Graham and a fourth-round pick to Seattle in exchange for a first-round pick and center Max Unger.
Graham is obviously the big prize here. The Seahawks haven't had a decent tight end in years, and now they suddenly have a 28-year-old monster who has helped revolutionize the position over the last few seasons. He had a "down year" last season, but still finished with 889 yards and 10 touchdowns on 85 receptions.
This is a big move for the Seahawks, and it's fantastic news for Russell Wilson. He's heading into the last season of his rookie deal, and now he's suddenly been blessed with the best receiving target he's had as a pro. That man is going to get paid next season. On the other hand, someone needs to free Drew Brees.
