The VCU Pep Band Makes Its Director Gyrate Uncontrollably And Sometimes Strip
This is Ryan Kopacsi, director of the very-popular VCU pep band and also, apparently, a male model. He's known around the university and amongst pep band circles for his overenthusiastic dancing and for often removing his clothing during games. At VCU, this is apparently called "TTS," or Time To Strip, and the whole mess seems to be a popular tradition at VCU basketball games — although so far during the tournament the camera has mostly stayed on the Rams' dancing tuba players (tubists?) instead of giving Kopacsi his due glory. We've borrowed from the Kopacsi "highlight" reel on YouTube, and added in some clips of his most recent performances. The tie toss seems to be a new touch.
