This Alexis Sánchez Golazo Just Sealed El Clásico For Barcelona
Holy shit!
Brazilian superstar Neymar scored in the 19th minute to put Barcelona ahead of a flat Real Madrid at the break. But Madrid came out in the second half hard, dominating the tempo and creating the most chances. Barça center back Javier Mascherano took down Cristiano Ronaldo in the box for a clear penalty, but it wasn't called, and Madrid striker Karim Benzema crashed a shot against the crossbar.
But with 12 minutes to go and Barça on their heels, Neymar released substitute winger Alexis Sánchez on goal with a great through pass. But Madrid center back Raphael Verane caught up with Sánchez, so the Chilean cut back, then looked up and saw keeper Diego Lopez just off his line. So with his weaker right foot, the winger chipped a shot over Lopez and into the back of the net from 20 yards out. Unreal.
Real Madrid scored late to make it 2-1, but wouldn't get closer. Barcelona won the match, emerged from El Clásico triumphant for the first time in the last six meetings between these two, and pulled six point clear of their rivals. What a match.
