Three Swimmers Injured After Being Hit By Bus At The European Games
Yesterday at the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, three Austrian synchronized swimmers were injured, one severely, after a bus just up and plowed through them in the athletes village. The video, obtained by Meydan TV, is above, and it might be upsetting.
Fifteen-year-old Vanessa Sahinovic was flown back to Vienna where she underwent surgery on multiple fractures, including to her spine, and she remains in an induced coma.
Luna Pajer was also airlifted to Vienna and is undergoing treatment for injuries to both arms. Verena Breit suffered a bruised thigh and was released from the hospital yesterday.
