Tiffany Hayes Steals, Then Scores An Extremely Badass Buzzer-Beater
The Connecticut Sun probably thought they would be the only ones with a buzzer beating opportunity as the clock wound down in their 83-83 game with the Atlanta Dream tonight. But they didn’t factor in the otherworldly range of Dream guard Tiffany Hayes.
As the Sun’s Jasmine Thomas tried to drive the lane and break the deadlock with three seconds remaining, the ball was poked out of her hands and right into the possession of Hayes. The work was far from over, however, as securing the Dream’s fifth straight victory required a quick burst upcourt and a wild shot from the wrong end of the floor. Of course, Hayes’s winner went down as smoothly as possible.
That’s a pretty strong way to fight back against an All-Star snub.
