Tiger vs. Phil. Without The Phil.
This image was lost some time after publication, but you can still view it [object Object] . They were tied heading into the weekend at the Ford Championship at Doral, and they played together on Saturday. And, as has become traditional in such situations, it didn't work out that well for Phil. Since teeing it up on Saturday morning against Tiger, Tiger's only ahead by 8 strokes.
Phil did give a guy $200 after he broke his watch with an errant iron shot yesterday, though. Tiger probably wouldn't do anything that nice. He might try, but his caddy Steve would probably stop him, and go over and punch the guy in the face.
Oh, and Tiger won, too. In fact, he did so while bogeying the last two holes. David Toms failed to put much pressure on him by bogeying the final hole, so Tiger pretty much walked to the W. He won the same tournament last year when it came down to him and Tiger on the final day, but Phil didn't wait until Sunday to melt down this time. It's Tiger's third win of the year. It's also March. Yikes.
