Tiger Woods Will Speak About Something Besides His Line Of Titanium Drivers
Tiger Woods accepted an invitation to speak this weekend at "We Are One," the inauguration celebration being held this weekend at the Lincoln Memorial. The move is a surprise for the self-proclaimed " Cablanasian," who typically isn't programmed by Nike to participate involved in politics. No one's sure what Woods will have to say, but I'm sure there will be about 100 people in the vicinity taking American Express applications.
"I am honored that I was invited to this historic event and look forward to participating in Sunday's festivities," Woods said.
Woods has traditionally stayed removed from politics, though after Obama's victory he told CNBC, "I think it's absolutely incredible. ... My father was hoping it would happen in his lifetime, but he didn't get to see it. I'm lucky enough to have seen a person of color in the White House."
The event will be broadcast on HBO, starting at 2:30. The inauguration, in case you didn't know, is Tuesday.
