Tim Tebow Cancels Speaking Engagement At Dallas Hate Church
The First Baptist Church of Dallas was all set to welcome Tim Tebow for a little talk on April 28, but then the thoughts of the megachurch's pastor, Robert Jeffress, made their way to the heathen media, which was all too eager to spread the word.
Jeffress's brand of ecumenism—Jews, gays, and Mormons are all going to hell; Catholicism is a satanic cult; Islam promotes pedophilia; Barack Obama is "paving the way for the future of the Anitchrist"— doesn't seem to discriminate much in its application of intolerance. But the hubbub eventually proved to be too much for Tebow, who took to Twitter this morning to announce he was backing out of the gig:
