Tim Thomas Torn From Loving Arms Of Roberto Luongo

Tim Thomas will take his tire-pumping efforts elsewhere. He's heading to Texas, which, let's be honest, is cosmically right. His newest old teammate took it poorly:

There was really no need to the Panthers to hang on to Thomas after obtaining Roberto Luongo, but it would have been nice to see the two netminders forced to coexist for at least a little while.

Thomas presumably supplants Dan Ellis as the Stars' backup for Kari Lehtonen, who barely sits anyway. But he reunites with Tyler Seguin! Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
