Cops: Shonn Greene Arrested After Series Of Poor Driving Decisions
Titans running back Shonn Greene made a small blunder Friday, allegedly parking in a handicapped spot. Police say he compounded that error by driving away from the parking enforcement officer attempting to ticket him, and made a string of decisions that resulted in him being arrested later that night. Via The Tennessean:
According to police, Greene nearly struck the officer's vehicle, and sped off from the area. Greene was later approached when he got caught up in traffic, but sped off again, police say.
The police never were able to stop Greene, but they determined—likely via his license plate number—that he was the offending individual, and got in touch with the Titans. The team and police then orchestrated Greene turning himself in, which he did Friday night. Though the image of Greene trying to drive away from a hapless parking enforcement officer is comical, he faces a variety of charges:
Greene was charged with a handicap parking violation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting stop/halt/frisk.
The Titans have yet to comment, and there's no word as to whether Greene will play Sunday or not.
