MLB Blogs wants you on board, and official spokesman Tommy Lasorda isn't taking no for an answer. In an effort to entice you, the site has an exclusive Lasorda video up today, which features old clips of Tommy when he managed the Dodgers, about 50 years ago. Then comes the hard sell, as Tommy is seen sitting at a desk in front of a laptop, waxing eloquently about his blogging experience so far and demanding your allegiance. If you're not with MLB Blogs, you're against them!

Then we see the computer screen, and it's blank. It's like we suspected — Lasorda ain't writing his own blog. He's farmed out the real responsibilities and is trading on his name, just like he did when he managed the Dodgers. We still have absolutely no idea why anyone would sign up for this. A recent addition does not help: a blog entitled That's Not Orange. Um, what's not orange? Sounds like a segment we once saw on Sesame Street.
