We won't even comment on the terrifying play on words that assualted us at the top of the page when we checked in at MLB Blogs.com this morning. It's discomforting enough to learn that Tom Seaver has his own wine label, but to learn it like this ... It's really a horrifying pun, there in the first graph under Seaver's picture. But at least we know that Seaver's not responsible for it. There's just as much chance that he's writing his own blog as there is that he's personally stomping the grapes at his vineyard. In fact, it's quite possible that the "bloggers" over at MLB Blogs.com know nothing about what's going on in their names. Sad, really. Oh, the one thing we do learn at Seaver's blog is that Joe Montana, Peggy Fleming and many other sports celebrities also bottle their own wine. Any compelling reasons for this are not explained. Someday we may ask aloud if Mario Andretti goes well with fish, but today is not that day.—RC
