Tom Cleverley's Long Header Beats Newcastle On Final Touch Of The Match

Everton downed Newcastle today 1-0 thanks to a 93rd-minute long-range header by Tom Cleverley that proved to be the final touch of the match.

Newcastle keeper Rob Elliot got to the corner delivery first, but didn’t manage to punch the ball far enough away as the final seconds of stoppage time ticked away. A perfectly-positioned Cleverley managed to pop the ball over the masses of defenders and into the net, handing a painful loss to the relegation zone-dwelling Magpies.
