Turn Your Atrophy Into Profit
Even when our team is in the Rose Bowl, every 24 years or so, we don't spent much time on New Years Day, you know, moving. But we can't possibly approach the competition going on at the Chicago and New York ESPN Zones this New Years.
Turns out, they're going for the Guinness World Record of 69 hours, 48 minutes on the couch.
The rules are simple: sit. You can eat and drink all you want, but bathroom breaks are sanctioned only every eight hours. Falling asleep is grounds for disqualification. The winner at each location gets a 42" TV, a recliner, and an ESPN Zone gift card.
Those rules are deceptively simple; we suspect some enterprising competitor will just urinate where he sits and clear out his opponents. If you want to win that ESPN Zone gift card, you have to devote yourself to the cause.
