Twins RHP Joe Ryan (triceps) exits start vs. Cubs

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan exited Wednesday afternoon's game against the host Chicago Cubs in the bottom of the third inning with right triceps tightness.
After throwing a pitch to Pete Crow-Armstrong, who was leading off the frame, Ryan motioned toward the dugout and was visited by Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli and a trainer. He then left the game following a brief conference.
In his two-plus innings, Ryan gave up one run on one hit. He didn't issue a walk and struck out two. The Twins were leading 2-1 at the time.
Trevor Richards replaced Ryan and gave up three runs on a hit and five walks in 2/3 of an inning.
Ryan entered Wednesday with a 7-7 record and a 3.59 ERA across 22 starts this season.
