Two NFL Players Lost At Sea?
Four men are "missing" off the coast of Florida after leaving shore on Saturday in a 21-foot boat and not returning as scheduled. Detroit's Corey Smith and Oakland's Marquis Cooper were reportedly among them.
The fishing boat left Clearwater Pass at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and the Coast Guard was alerted at 1:30 a.m. this morning when the boat did not return. Weather forecasts that morning had predicted high winds and choppy seas by late on Saturday and reports say that searchers are battling those very winds now as they look for the missing boat.
There aren't many other details at this point, but if you're lost on rough ocean waters for more than 24 hours, there aren't a lot of good outcomes in that situation. It sounds bad, but here's hoping that this story ends well ... More to come, I'm sure.
