UCLA coasts to victory over short-handed, slumping Oregon
UCLA forward Tyler Bilodeau goes up over Oregon forward Luke Johnson as the Oregon Ducks host the UCLA Bruins on Jan. 28, 2026, at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon. Tyler Bilodeau scored 18 points and Eric Dailey Jr. added 14 points and 11 rebounds as UCLA extended its winning streak to three games with a 73-57 victory over Oregon on Wednesday at Eugene, Ore.
Donovan Dent scored 15 points and Trent Perry added 12 as the Bruins (15-6, 7-3 Big Ten) committed just four turnovers and held Oregon to 35.6% shooting from the floor. UCLA has won five of its past six games, including a victory over then-No. 4 Purdue.
The Bruins also improved to 5-2 without top 3-point shooter Skyy Clark (hamstring).
Kwame Evans Jr. produced a career-high 24 points and eight rebounds and Jamari Phillips added nine points for the short-handed Ducks (8-13, 1-9), who lost their seventh consecutive game.
Oregon continues to play without its top two scorers. Jackson Shelstad (hand) might be out for the season, and Nate Bittle (ankle) missed his fourth consecutive game.
The Ducks' offensive woes showed up early. Oregon managed just 11 points over the opening 10 minutes and trailed 36-22 at the half after shooting 25.0%.
The Bruins went on an 8-2 run to open the second half, establishing a 44-24 lead after a fastbreak dunk from Dailey. The Ducks showed a sign of life with an 8-0 surge to pull within 46-36 with 13:17 remaining.
UCLA responded with a 9-2 spree to take a 55-38 edge with 10:41 remaining, and the visitors were never threatened the rest of the way.
Oregon was called for 17 fouls, and UCLA finished 20 of 23 from the free-throw line. The Ducks were 6 of 9 from the line.
After Dent and Perry combined to score four points for the Bruins in the first half, the backcourt duo combined to score 23 in the second half.
UCLA has now won all four of its games against Oregon since the teams moved into the Big Ten last season. The Bruins have captured two consecutive victories at Eugene for the first time since the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.
