Universe Snuffs Last Remaining Spark Of Joy, Sends Vlad Jr. To The Disabled List
credits: Mike Ehrmann | source: [object Object] In an absolute bullcrap turn of events, dear sweet masher Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was sent to the disabled list Thursday with an injured leg. Per the :
“For us, it’s just about being extra cautious given that the injury occurred last Saturday and when he came back there was a little bit of a setback,” Jays director of player development Gil Kim told Postmedia here prior to the Fisher Cats game against the Akron Rubberducks.
Vlad reportedly injured the leg running out a single on Saturday, and then tweaked the injury on Wednesday, on another single. The extra caution of the Blue Jays organization means that Vlad the Younger has been placed on the 7-day disabled list. I don’t want to tell anyone their business, but it seems to me the obvious solution is for the strong lad to stop hitting singles immediately, and from now on only hit those crackling dongers we all love so much.
