UNLV Opens Season With First-Quarter Hook & Lateral Play

These are usually desperation gimmicks, used when a team needs to win but is losing late in a game. UNLV, being UNLV, ran the hook & lateral early in its first game of the season.

You can't really blame them, as what they're doing is working (they're winning against the Gophers in Minneapolis) but it's just a bizarre sight to see. The first weekend of football is supposed to be boring, except for the fact it's the first weekend of football. [BTN]
