Vancouver signs three draft picks to one-year deals

Defender Nina Jobst-Smith (third round), forward Brianna Brooks (fourth) and forward Madison Samoskevich (fifth) agreed to one-year contracts.
Vancouver opens its inaugural season on Nov. 21 against fellow league newcomer Seattle.
Jobst-Smith, 24, tallied 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) in 37 games at Minnesota-Duluth in 2024-25.
Brooks, 23, posted 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 38 games last season at Penn State.
Samoskevich, 22, recorded 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 38 games last season at Quinnipiac.
