Victor Wanyama's Stunning Golazo Kicks Off Insane Spurs-Liverpool Ending
Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama both scored an equalizer for Spurs and demonstrated the very high quality of the Premier League nets on an absolute bullet of a strike against Liverpool in the 80th minute. And that’s just where the craziness starts.
Wanyama’s first goal of the year looked like it wouldn’t even matter, as it was followed by a missed penality from Harry Kane, and then Mo Salah willing himself through defenders for an apparent Liverpool winner in stoppage time.
But before the final whistle, Spurs won another late penalty off a very questionable foul call on Virgil Van Djik from the assistant ref. This time, Kane stepped up and knocked it down for a 2-2 draw. It was a devastating, frustrating result for Liverpool. But at least they know the nets at Anfield are unbreakable.
