Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will miss Sunday's game against the visiting San Francisco 49ers with a right ankle injury.
Addison, 22, didn't practice this week and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Jalen Nailor. Trent Sherfield, Trishton Jackson and Brandon Powell could also see increased snaps alongside superstar Justin Jefferson.
Addison, who missed part of training camp with a high left ankle sprain, injured his right ankle on his final catch of Minnesota's 28-6 season-opening win over the host New York Giants last Sunday. He finished with three receptions for 35 yards.
Per Elias Sports Bureau, Addison - the 23rd pick of the 2023 draft -- joined three other players in modern NFL history to post 70 catches, 900 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns as a rookie.
Addison has an Oct. 7 court date and could also face NFL discipline for two misdemeanors after he was found asleep at the wheel near Los Angeles International Airport on July 12. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with .08 percent blood alcohol content.
