Both teams got off to sluggish starts on offense but Miller drained a corner three to send the Cowboys into the first media timeout with an 8-3 lead.
When Young rattled in a three from the wing, Prairie View A&M trailed 10-9 with 13:13 left in the first half. Moments later, the Panthers took a 15-14 lead on Dontae Horne's steal which led to Joseph's lefty slam in transition and prompted an OSU timeout.

The Panthers had a 9-2 scoring spurt that Joseph got started with a 3-pointer. The PVA&M rally cut the OSU lead to 73-49 with 7:12 to play, but the Panthers got no closer than 21 the rest of the way.
