We Are All Dave McKenna LXXX
Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Dan "Daniel" Snyder's dumbass libel suit goes to that great tort docket in the sky.
Today, we bring word of the fate of Larry Weisman, the former USA Today NFL reporter hired in July 2009 by Snyder to cover the Redskins the way Pravda covered the Bolsheviks. Weisman had been critical of the team in the past, but he was brought on anyway, these being the halcyon days when Snyder was merely an obstreperous dickhead incompetent and not an obstreperous dickhead incompetent trying to light the First Amendment on fire. Now, however, Weisman's time in Redskins Park is over. No word yet on why, but we can be certain he got fired:
On Friday, Weisman began spreading the word that he was out of work. "Kind of a shocker this AM," he tweeted. "So it goes. I guess free agents signed by the Redskins eventually get cut." Also: "Blindsided."
"Blindsided"? Such harsh language. Sue that man!
