We Are All Dave McKenna X
Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant " Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Snyder's dumbass libel suit gets disappeared. Today's topic: money-hungry nannies.
When Juliette Mendonca was discussing salary for the rewarding job of caring for the three children of Daniel and Tanya Snyder, she passed on the $65,000 salary, choosing to work on an hourly basis. Probably a good move, considering she earned $162,000 from April 2003 to November 2004, and that's without the $60,000 in overtime for which she was forced to sue.
Daniel Snyder didn't take the stand at the hearing into the matter, but his blushing bride did, claiming Mendonca couldn't have worked $60K worth of hours. Dan's words did get legal airing when Mendonca spoke about being confronted by the Redskins owner late one 2004 night. And what did he say to the woman who played a formative role in raising his brood?
'' I pay you more than my Redskins park people! I can't afford to pay you like this!''
Judge reckoned he could afford to pay $44,880, though.
