Weather causes postponement of Nuggets-Grizzlies game
FedExForum is seen in Downtown Memphis on Jan. 24, 2026, after a winter storm brought snow, sleet and ice to the Mid-South. The wintry blast was expected to continue through Jan. 26. The Sunday afternoon contest between the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies was postponed due to inclement weather in the Memphis area.
The area was hit hard by a winter storm that delivered plenty of snow and ice and made driving treacherous. Widespread power outages were reported.
The ABC affiliate in Memphis estimated 3 to 5 inches of snow had hit the area before the middle of the day. The area was expected to continue to receive more bad weather throughout the day and night.
The NBA said the game would be rescheduled at a later date.
