Engagement Ring Among Alternate Uses For Olympic Medals

Vincent Gauthier-Manuel, a French Paralympic skier who won three medals at the 2014 Sochi Games, smelted his silver from the slalom to make an engagement ring for his girlfriend. (He also won gold in the giant slalom and two additional golds in 2010, but under the gold plating, they're silver, too, proving that love in France is not without practicality.)
