Week 10 Powerless Rankings: NFL's race to the bottom intensifies

It’s about that time once again.

After another week of NFL football, let’s take a look at some of the worst teams in the league as they battle it out for the rights to the top draft picks (Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields) in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Here are the Week 10 Powerless rankings.

The Chargers are far too talented to be in this position, but here they are. They continue to underachieve and squander easily winnable games. Their loss to Miami yesterday marked their third consecutive defeat.

Washington got beat by the Lions on a last-second field goal despite 390 passing yards from Alex Smith. The defense still gave up 30 points to Matthew Stafford and the Lions. Washington likely won’t stick with Smith long term and their future with Dwayne Haskins is shaky. They’ll probably be in the running for Justin Fields in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

The Cowboys had a bye in week 10, but we can’t let this week go by without placing the dysfunctional Cowboys on the Powerless Rankings. Dallas still has the talent to make a run in the NFC East but honestly, at this point, it might behoove them to just get their draft picks up.

After a spirited effort against the Packers in Green Bay the Jaguars fall once again. The team out of Jacksonville is now 1-8 on the season and still have problems defensively against both the run and pass. Their quarterback situation has improved slightly since Jake Luton took over but he barely completed over 50 percent of his passes yesterday. It’s time for Jacksonville to start looking at trade options with the Jets for that number 1 pick.

The Jets had a bye week in week 10 but Adam Gase is still their coach and they are still winless.
