Welcome, New York City Nerds
Anyone hanging around the New York City area this evening and in desperate need of some sort of mental machismo challenge is heretofore invited to come by NYC Sports Trivia Night (officially called "The Jeffrey Leonard Invitational," proving we had nothing to do with its naming). You won't be able to Stump The Schwab, and there — obviously — won't be any women, but it is a trivia night, and it's all about sports. As someone who constantly feels dumber after failing at non-sports trivia nights, we understand the need for a sports-only evening.
The organizers kindly asked us to host a round, and we even wrote our own questions. (They're allowing us to drink for free, and, you know, that's enough.) So we'll be there helping them launch the whole thing, so if you wanna come by and you're unfortunate enough to live in New York City, it's at The Kings Head Tavern, on 14th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan. We're told it starts at 8 p.m.
Our questions will be very easy, because, as you can surely tell every day, we don't know much about sports.
(By the way, that is the 1993 Mattoon High School scholastic bowl team. STUDS.)
