Western Michigan defensive back Asantay Brown left the field on a stretcher after being targeted with a blindside hit to the head by Toledo’s Alonzo Russell.
Brown took the hit well away from the ball, and while officials initially did not penalize the play, the referee declared it targeting and ejected Russell after Brown was taken off the field. We’ll stay tuned for updates on his condition.
