Mandatory Credit: Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports The Chicago White Sox activated left fielder Andrew Benintendi from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday.
Benintendi exited Chicago's 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on June 1 due to left Achilles tendinitis. He landed on the IL the next day.
Although he is available for Wednesday's game against the host Seattle Mariners, Benintendi won't start. White Sox manager Pedro Grifol was hoping that Benintendi would be good to go on Thursday for the finale of the four-game series.
Corey Julks will be in left field on Wednesday.
In 51 games this season, the 29-year-old Benintendi has hit just .195 with four home runs and 18 RBIs.
Chicago also activated right-hander Steven Wilson from the 15-day injured on Wednesday while designating left-hander Tim Hill for assignment.
