Who's Sorry Now At ESPN?
So we have been watching, with considerable amusement, the new ESPN corrections page. So far, they're hardly barn-burners:
In a March 5 report on ESPN.com, the final score of the Creighton-Southern Illinois men's college basketball game was reversed in the graphic at the top of the page. Creighton won the game, 67-61. The score was correct in the news story.
Yawn.
Where are the good ones? The ones like:
In a March 5 staff meeting, Sean Salisbury incorrectly referred to his penis as "gigantic." ESPN regrets the error.
You know? We want a real corrections page, with the inner workings attached to the appropriate apologies. We suspect you can probably come up with a few yourselves ...
