Why Was Olivia Ponton at Joe Burrow’s House During Monday Night Burglary?
Just a few weeks ago, the NFL released a memo to all of their players to enhance proper security due to targeted break-ins around the league.
For Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, that increased security measure includes model Olivia Ponton, who was at the mansion right after the break-in.
This latest, bizarre story comes just weeks after Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s homes were burglarized in Kansas City.
While the investigations are still ongoing, one question persists. What in the world was Ponton doing in southern Ohio on a Monday night?
Upon arriving at the freshly broken-into home, Ponton, who boasts nearly 3 million followers on Instagram and another 7 million on TikTok, called her mother, Diane, who told authorities that her daughter was "wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding or if she should be going outside."
Following that call, Ponton called the police saying, "Someone broke into my house... It’s like completely messed up."
Her house? And yes, typically when a house is burglarized, things are completely messed up. That had to be quite the call for dispatch to sort through.
According to a report taken by Hamilton County Sheriffs, Ponton was documented as an employee of Burrow. Burrow was documented as out of town (duh, he was probably on the TV throwing bombs to Ja’Marr Chase on ESPN), and Ponton listed a few items that “might have been” missing.
But that raises the question.
Why in the world would a model who lives in a multi-million dollar New York City apartment need to be employed by an NFL quarterback? Was she house-sitting? If so, she did not do a great job, as she arrived and made the 911 call just minutes before Burrow’s Bengals were set to kick off against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
Ponton, 22, had a fast rise to internet stardom during the pandemic, where she exploded on TikTok and lived in the infamous Los Angeles “Hype House” with other top influencers, including Addison Rae and Josh Richards.
Not to get messy, but Burrow was thought to be engaged to longtime girlfriend and college sweetheart Olivia Holzmacher. They have not posted each other on social media since January.
Perhaps Burrow, 28, is playing the field. Maybe he has a thing for girls named Olivia. That’s not any of our business. But Ponton’s insertion into this already wild story of seemingly targeted burglaries at NFL homes was not on anybody’s 2024 bingo card.
