Wilson Ramos Exits Game, Gets Six Staples In Head After Being Hit By Broken Bat
Catcher Wilson Ramos exited after a scary moment in the fifth inning of tonight’s Orioles-Rays game—a broken bat that struck him right in the head during Ruben Tejada’s backswing.
Ramos immediately went down, but he was able to stand on his own and walk off the field. The Rays described the injury as a “laceration” and announced that he was treated with six staples in his head, with a note that he would continue to be evaluated. Ramos was replaced by Jesus Sucre.
