Kailer Yamamoto scored the eventual game-winning goal as the visiting Utah Mammoth doubled up the Dallas Stars 6-3 on Monday night.

Clayton Keller, Nate Schmidt, Jack McBain, Michael Carcone and Lawson Crouse also scored for the Mammoth, who snapped a four-game winless skid (1-2-2). Vitek Vanecek made 27 saves.

Sam Steel, Wyatt Johnston and Adam Erne scored for the Stars, who saw their franchise-tying 15-game stretch without a regulation loss (14-0-1) end. Casey DeSmith stopped 16 shots.

Utah took a 3-2 lead at 4:16 of the third as McBain capitalized on a Miro Heiskanen turnover at the Utah blue line and beat DeSmith five-hole on a short-handed breakaway.

Yamamoto doubled the Mammoth lead at 8:05 of the third, picking up a Matt Duchene turnover in the Utah zone and finishing off a 2-on-1 with Alex Kerfoot.

Carcone made it 5-2 on a power play, snapping a wrist shot short-side past DeSmith at 16:06 of the third.

Crouse added an empty-netter at 19:20 of the third.

Dallas cut the deficit in half as Erne one-timed an Arttu Hyry feed past Vanecek at 19:56.

The teams were tied 2-2 after two.

Schmidt gave the Mammoth its first lead at 7:20 of the second, snapping a shot from the top of the faceoff circle past a screened DeSmith.

Dallas tied it 2-2 at 15:34 of the middle frame as Johnston tipped a Heiskanen point shot past Vanecek.

Despite the Stars dominating the Mammoth 10-2 in the shots department, the two teams were tied 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Steel opened the scoring 6:17 into the first period, redirecting a Jamie Benn feed past Vanecek.

Utah responded at 12:11 of the opening frame as Keller beat DeSmith from a tough angle.

Monday was the teams' fourth and final meeting. Dallas won two of the first three matchups.
