Wings (+4.5) at Liberty
Sky/Mercury Under 175.5 Points
Wings (+4.5) at Liberty - 8:00 p.m. ET
The Liberty are off a pair of victories over teams they faced in the WNBA Finals in 2023 (Aces) and 2024 (Lynx). New York held off Las Vegas last Tuesday, 93-85 in the Commissioner’s Cup, although the Aces were without league MVP A’ja Wilson due to injury.
Last Friday, the Liberty took care of the Lynx as short home underdogs, 99-86 to improve to 8-4 at home. However, one of the four home defeats came to Dallas on May 24, a 91-76 setback to the Wings as 6.5-point favorites.
The Wings have covered four consecutive matchups with the Liberty since last season, while ending a six-game against the spread slide in Sunday’s 89-76 triumph at Toronto as 6.5-point favorites.
Dallas has shot better on the road (47.1% from field) than at home (44.4%), while New York is shooting 44.4% at home, compared to 48.5% away from Barclays Center. Let’s grab the points with the Wings to cover again at New York.
Sky/Mercury Under 175.5 Points - 10:00 p.m. ET
Both these teams are outside playoff contention as they meet in Phoenix tonight. In the first matchup on May 16, the Mercury held off the Sky, 91-83 to go Over the total of 166.5. A huge contributing factor to the Over was Phoenix hitting 37-of-41 free throws, while shooting 39% from the floor.
Tonight’s total is nine points higher as Chicago has drilled the Over in six of the past seven games. This total is actually the third-highest in this span, coming off totals of 181.5 and 179.5 in the past two losses to Las Vegas.
However, the Sky own the second-lowest defensive 3-point percentage (30.8%) in the league, while Phoenix sits 10th in 3-point shooting (32.9%). Chicago has converted at least 45% of its field goal attempts once in the last nine road outings. Let’s go with the Under in this matchup between the Sky and Mercury.
