Women Are From Venus, Ivanovic's Are From Heaven
While it's always good to see Venus Williams healthy and playing at her peak I can't help but lament the loss of her opponent. Ana Ivanovic ( previously featured for her sexiness in these parts by Dan Shanoff) was easily the sexiest creature remaining in the women's draw—although Rafael Nadal sure is pretty.
The fifth seeded Serbian sexpot succumbed to the rejuvenated Venus Williams in a short-lived yet well played two setter. Venus-seeded twelfth as a result of her inactivity-remains on track to meet up with her bodacious sister in the semi-finals. Whenever Venus and Serena are in good form the quality of tennis seems to rise with them. But still, did it have to be Ana?
Thanks for joining me this weekend, it's been a pleasure (mostly yesterday). Will should be back tomorrow, that guy can't stay away. Enjoy the week leading up to the best weekend of the fall.
Oh, and the Cubs, Cards, and Brewers all won again...if you're into guys.
