Women's Top 25 roundup: Princeton stuns No. 22 Oklahoma

Madison St. Rose scored 26 points as unranked Princeton led wire-to-wire to pull off a stunning 77-63 victory over No. 22 Oklahoma on Thursday at the Fort Myers Tip-Off in Florida.

St. Rose shot 11-of-23 from the floor for the Tigers (4-1). Princeton also got 20 points from Kaitlyn Chen. Ellie Mitchell added a game-high 18 rebounds and six assists.

Aubrey Joens had 13 points for the Sooners (5-1) in their first loss of the season.

Princeton opened the game by outscoring Oklahoma 23-7 in the first quarter. The Sooners tried to dig out of the hole but still trailed by nine at halftime and by as much as 17 in the third quarter.

The Tigers shot 47.8 percent from the floor and won the rebounding battle by 13.

Another ranked opponent awaits Princeton as it faces No. 21 Indiana on Saturday.

No. 3 Colorado 77, Cincinnati 60

Colorado is off to its third straight 5-0 start under coach JR Payne after the Buffaloes held off the Bearcats for a win at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas.

The Buffs led by as much as 25 points, but withstood a 13-2 run from the Bearcats (2-2) to start the fourth quarter. Colorado responded with a short jumper from Tameiya Sadler and a 3-pointer from Maddie Nolan to push its advantage back into a more comfortable territory.

Sadler led the Buffs with 15 points, while Kindyll Wetta added 14 off the bench. Aaronette Vonleh chipped in 13 points and five boards.

Jillian Hayes scored 17 points to power the Bearcats.

No. 23 Washington State 87, Maryland 67

Charlisse Leger-Walker registered her first career triple-double — 11 points, 13 assists and 15 rebounds — as the Cougars comfortably beat the Terrapins in the Cancun Challenge in Mexico.

Leger-Walker was one of six players to score in double figures for Wazzu (6-0). Bella Murekatete had 17 points, Eleonora Villa added 14, Beyonce Bea and Taylor Wallack each had 12, and Astera Tuhina chipped in 11.

Lavender Briggs led Maryland (2-3) with 18 points and seven rebounds.

The Terps led 31-20 heading into the second quarter, but the Cougars outscored them by 26 points over the second and third quarters. Wazzu shot 61 percent from the floor while holding Maryland to 30.3 percent.

No. 10 NC State 84, Kentucky 55

Madison Hayes scored 15 points as the Wolfpack topped the Wildcats at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas.

Hayes was one of four players to score in double digits for NC State (5-0). Saniya Rivers scored 13 points, River Baldwin had 11 and Mimi Collins tallied 10. Aziaha James added team-highs in rebounds (eight) and assists (five) to go along with seven points.

None of the Wildcats (2-3) scored in double figures. Ajae Petty, Saniah Tyler and Eniya Russell each had nine points.

NC State outscored Kentucky 42-10 in the paint and won the rebounding margin 45-28.
