World War II veteran Burke Waldron tossed the first pitch for the Seattle Mariners for Monday’s Memorial Day game. Hitters beware: this guy has a mean breaking ball.


The 92-year-old jogged onto the field and delivered a solid first pitch to Mariners catcher Steve Clevenger:


Waldron checks all the boxes: smooth mechanics, impressive conditioning, more than one pitch (probably). He’s worth a look as an eighth-inning guy.
