Yankee Fans Are Really Harshing Nick Swisher's Buzz, Bro
It was not a good weekend for the Yankees. Not only did they drop two games at home against the Tigers, they also lost Derek Jeter for the rest of the postseason and received minimal support from the fans in a sparsely populated Yankee Stadium. And you know who's really sad about that last part? Nick Swisher, bro.
After Sunday's game Swisher talked to Bombers Beat and spoke about the unfriendly treatment he received from the fans in the left-field right-field bleachers over the weekend:
Last night was pretty big. A lot of people saying a lot of things that I've never heard before. Prime example; I missed that ball in the lights and the next thing you know, I'm the reason that Jeter got hurt. It's kind of frustrating. They were saying it was my fault.
It hurts. Sometimes I'm a sensitive guy and some of the things people say, they get under your skin a little bit. I've been lucky to be here for the past four years, bro. We're not going to go out like this. We're going to go to Detroit and give everything we've got.
Not cool, Yankee fans. Swish is out there wearing bitchin' eyeblack and giving it his all, and you're being super lame and acting all butthurt about it. Stop being so butthurt all the time and just chill. If you keep this up, you might lose Swish to another team. He's only looking for $126 million, after all.
