Yasiel Puig Snapped His Bat On A Check Swing
Yasiel Puig can make even a check swing interesting. Puig was initially going to take a hack at Zach Duke's 2-1 pitch in the seventh inning last night, but thought better of it and stopped his hands right in front of him. The portion of the bat not in his hands, however, just kept going and snapped because Puig's hands never budged. There's a lot of physics mumbo jumbo (technical term) going on here, but the gist is: Yasiel Puig is strong.
Yes, yes, it's possible that this is just a tall tale with a sliver of willful ignorance; the broadcasters note that his bat was probably broken to begin with, making it easier to break like that. But it is also possible that Yasiel Puig is Paul Bunyan.
