Wow, what a whirlwind of a day. This year’s NBA trade deadline did not disappoint, and there’s a lot to discuss in the wake of some very big moves. We’re here to give our in-depth takes on each trade, so let’s get right to it.

Miami Heat trade Jarnell Stokes to the New Orleans Pelicans for a conditional draft pick.

Ley: Okay.

Burneko: Got it.

Rockets trade Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton to Detroit for Joel Anthony and a protected first-round pick.


Ley: Sure.

Burneko: Huh.

Cavaliers trade Anderson Varajeo and Jared Cunningham to Magic for Channing Frye. Magic send Varajeo to Portland for a second-round pick. Cavaliers also send first-round pick to Portland.
