Your "Delaware Rules" College Basketball All-Day Thread
There's nothing like going to Vegas for the first weekend of the NCAA men's college-basketball tournament. As great as that is, there's nothing like feigning interest in the first weekend of NCAA men's college-basketball regular-season games.
Seventeen of the Top 25 teams played last night. Seventeen wins. Average margin of victory: 24.8 points. Today, Pittsburgh (4), Illinois (16), Washington (17) and Butler (18) will join the facing-lesser-competition club. But, whatever. Two o'clock is opening tip of the University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens' march to a national championship! They start off at Ohio University, which knocked Georgetown out in the first round in March.
"I want them to always cherish the memories of last spring, but right now is not the time," said coach John Groce. "What happened last year has nothing to do with this year."
You got that right, Groce. Hoyas ain't got nothing on Hens. Who knows, they might even finish over .500 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Oh, and fuck Duke.
