Your Hockey Gear Reeks, Oh God, The Smell, No
On this episode of the official Ask a Clean Person podcast, hockey writer Dave Lozo joined me on the occasion of the new NHL season to talk about hockey gear, its attendant smells, and what to do about that stanky problem. It was thematic, you see!
As I told Dave, I once wrote a master’s thesis-length post on the proper care of hockey gear that, in its weird little way, I regard as Peak Cleancast. From there, we laughed, we cursed, we did our very best to out-gross one another, and most importantly, we covered a ton of ground about how to store, deodorize, wash, and dry hockey equipment.
I also busted out my Boston accent, which in and of itself is enough reason for you to give it a listen—which is a thing you can do here or over at iTunes, where you can also subscribe.
