Your Monday Night Football Open Thread
Houston at New England (ESPN): This has all the makings for a legitimate barn burner and as they look ahead to next week's matchup, Tirico and Gruden must be doing somersaults. Alas, this game will play out the only way an ostensibly exciting game involving the Patriots can play out: crushing, no-doubt-about-it defeat. I'm thinking it's a 34-0 Patriots snoozer before we even get to halftime. Just one more fuck you from Bob and the boys.
It's a shame too, because this could be a sneak peek at a great AFC Championship game with great individual players on either side of the ball. Will J.J. Watt be able to put pressure on Tom Brady and slowly drive him into the ground, disappearing for the rest of time? Will Arian Foster put on such a dazzling performance that he will be remembered as something more than that quirky guy on twitter? We can hope, but good luck with that since, as we've discussed, the Patriots are annoying and ruin all the fun for everyone.
Anywho, enjoy it if you can, and consider this your space to shoot the shit.
