Your NFL Playoffs Divisional Round Open Thread: Denver Broncos At New England Patriots
The back end of our Saturday doubleheader begins now. Talk amongst yourselves down below.
Denver at New England (CBS): At one point, CBS was bitching about how they had not yet been able to suckle on the teat of the sacred cash/ratings cow, Tim Tebow. As we sit here today, it feels like Nantz and Simms have called the Bronco's last four games. Expect them to bring up the news that Edgar Kaiser, Jr., the man responsible for bringing Elway to the Broncos, passed away earlier this week.
The Broncos, unfortunately, are walking right into a perfect shitstorm. the Pats have not won a playoff game since 2008. The two most recent losses have come at home. This is going to be ugly. the Patriots will be out for blood and Tebow's Broncos will need to either keep up or keep New England off the field. Chances are they try to bleed the clock, but even if they execute that plan to perfection, can they score more than 21 points? Because regardless of the Broncos' defensive prowess, I can't imagine the Patriots scoring any less than that.
