    "All I was saying was that..." is such a fantastic phrase. It indicates with almost 100% accuracy that you just informed your wife that she doesn't really need that last slice of pie, or told your boss that the new temp (his niece) has an ass you could bounce a quarter off of.

    History's eugenicist honkies have always trumpeted their own racial superiority when it suits their claims to Manifest Destiny, American exceptionalism or the right to lead brave squads of clean-cut Christians to Super Bowl championships, yet they also consign to some sort of genetic hocus-pocus the non-white athlete's continued ability to kick the cracker's ass in almost every athletic endeavor imaginable — including, now, the country-club sports. The last refuge for the closeted supremacist, then, is the American flag, even if it's got NASCAR stickers and chili-cheesedog stains all over it. #mebkeflezighi

    @blogsarefun: Agreed. The only problem is that 'honkies-tonk' just doesn't work as a plural descriptor of singularly awesome dance halls that serve white lightning in dirty mason jars and whose women play steel guitar with broken beer bottles. #mebkeflezighi
