Rebilas-Imagn Images The 49ers and Colton McKivitz have agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract that keeps the right tackle in San Francisco through the 2028 season.
The deal includes $27 million guaranteed, agents Doug Hendrickson and CJ LaBoy confirmed to ESPN on Monday.
McKivitz, 29, has started 40 of 63 games since the 49ers drafted him in the fifth round in 2020, including Sunday's season-opening win at Seattle.
McKivitz indicated last week that the two sides were working on an extension.
"I think it's pretty open right now," he told reporters on Wednesday. "Nothing crazy is going on but both sides have said that we want to be here, which I do. I love playing here. I love being a part of this team and they've reciprocated that. So when it does come, I'd be excited for it, but we'll see."
McKivitz earns a significant pay bump from the one-year, $7 million extension he signed in March 2024.
