Alabama DE Jeremiah Beaman could miss rest of season
July 30, 2025; Tuscaloosa, AL, USA; defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman hits the sled during the first practice session of the preseason for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama redshirt freshman defensive end Jeremiah Beaman will likely miss the rest of the 2025 season due to a lower-body injury, coach Kalen DeBoer said.
DeBoer said Beaman was injured in practice Wednesday morning.
"The word is out and the families and everything have been notified, but Jeremiah Beaman suffered a lower-body injury and right now we're expecting him to be out for the year," DeBoer said on his coaches show Wednesday night. "So it's really unfortunate for a guy like that and it's such a fine line right now. You're going hard and these guys are practicing."
Beaman, a four-star prospect, recorded a quarterback hit during the season-opening 31-17 loss to Florida State last Saturday.
Last season, Beaman saw action in three games and had two tackles.
The Crimson Tide have yet to indicate if star receiver Ryan Williams (concussion) will be able to play in this Saturday's game against UL Monroe. He was injured against the Seminoles last week.
DeBoer said that Williams practiced Wednesday and was still in the protocol. Williams caught five passes against the Seminoles but had just 30 yards.
