Running back Jam Miller was cleared from a collarbone injury and could quickly return to being an everydown back for Alabama. Head coach Kalen DeBoer said Monday that Miller was able to complete a full practice Sunday.
Miller rushed for 668 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
"He's someone that we trust at the highest level," DeBoer said. "He's just been super consistent as a pass protector, not just as a guy who can carry the football."
Alabama will continue to work Kevin Riley into the mix at running back. Riley has 23 carries for 120 yards and 10 receptions for 77 yards this season.
Defensive tackle Tim Keenan III has been on the field the past few days with Alabama and has the green light to play at Georgia. The Bulldogs are averaging 209 rushing yards per game.
A team captain and proven force against the run, Keenan underwent tightrope surgery on his ankle and hasn't played this season. The redshirt senior had 40 tackles, 7.5 for a loss, and 2.5 sacks in 2024.
"So excited, certainly, to have him back," Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack said. "Just the physicality that he brings, the experience, the block recognition, the ability to get off of blocks. And certainly what he does, not only in the run game, but I thought he has taken some in the pass rush as well from an interior pass rusher."
The Crimson Tide (2-1) hit the road for the first time since a 31-17 loss at Florida State to begin the season Aug. 30.
